Our story, told as a timeline

A few highlights from decades of projects—food processing, shipbuilding, specialty manufacturing, and everything in between.

1946
Foundations

Built on craftsmanship

The work began with a simple idea: build insulated spaces that last—and treat customers like partners.

Early 1950s
Long-term relationships

A customer through three buyouts

A relationship that began with AVI (later Valmac, then Tastybird, now Tyson) grew into a 45+ year partnership.

1979
National brands

Scaling for fast-growing franchises

As Taco Bell and KFC grew into a nationwide force, we delivered over 100 cooler and cooler/freezer combinations.

1981 → 1994
Expansions

From a first build to a major reach-in

A liquor cooler expanded in 1981, replaced in 1994 with a 90' × 20' × 10'5" unit—later growing into a reach-in over 100 feet long.

1989
Shipbuilding

Reefer doors for major shipbuilders

A relationship with Bath Iron Works (and other builders) produced reefer doors for ships over multiple years.

1994
Entrepreneur stories

Dippin’ Dots

A shoelace-budget startup needed small doors for delivery trucks—those doors became a long-term relationship.

1995
Extreme environments

Installed at the Arctic Circle

After a side-by-side comparison, our door was selected and installed for Pool Arctic Alaska—one unit reached the Arctic Circle.

1990s
Specialty fabrication

Freezer tunnels to sound-proof enclosures

Projects ranged from large insulated freezer tunnels (with conveyors) to sound-proof enclosures around refrigeration systems.

1990s
Global

Specialty doors shipped internationally

Small doors were shipped internationally for vapor recovery applications—built for brutal outdoor temperatures.
